Xcalak Guide Profiles – Nick Denbow
We have a lot of great independent fly fishing guides here in Xcalak. I am putting up profiles of the guides in this space. I have personally been out fishing with every one that is highlighted here so I can personally vouch for their expertise and professionalism.
Nick is a bit different from the other guides we’ve profiled, first he is based out of Mahahual, and second he is a Brit who has lived and guided here for 14 years. Nick is a great one to help you get a grand slam, he fishes the beaches around Mahahual for bones, permit, triggers and other species and the 13 lagoons/lakes in the area for baby tarpon, snook, and jacks. He does book up so contact him early. He is also a great resource for DIY fishermen, always happy to help you out. Finally, check out this video of Nick jumping a baby tarpon just a few feet off-shore.
