New Doors at the Inn
One of the updates we have been waiting to do is upgrade the exterior doors of the Inn. The old doors were hollow and used the weird Mexican locks that are really hard to use. There were also the aluminum screen doors that were falling apart. We have so much beautiful wood in theYucatan that it is shame not to use it. It is a different process here. I had to go buy the wood at a sawmill, then let it dry for about 6 weeks, and then bring it to the carpenter. The carpenter then built the doors. The first of the doors just got installed. The second is going in tomorrow. However, it looks like I need to go back to the lumber mill and get more of the Katalox wood.
I’ll update this post as we proceed.
